Martin has been signing since 1999 and graduated from UCLAN/SLI with a Post Graduate Diploma in BSL/English Interpreting. He is a Registered Sign Language Interpreter, (RSLI), with the NRCPD, National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People, (Reg No. 1003564) and is a full member of the Association of Sign Language Interpreters (MASLI); for which he upheld the position of Regional Chair for London and South East, 2009 – 2011 and former Director 2011 – 2014. Martin is also a member of the National Union of British Sign Language Interpreters, (NUBSLI), and of Equity, the UK trade union for professional performers and creative practitioners.
Along side his work as a Community Interpreter, Martin specialises in interpreting and translating for rehearsals, workshops and theatre performances.
