Esther has been interpreting since 1991 in Australia and England. Her parents are Deaf and she began interpreting when she was 17! Thirty years later, she is now an experienced and recognised interpreter.
Esther trains other interpreters in how to work in Mental Health, and has written guidelines in how to work as interpreters in this field. She has also produced a Best Practice document for Practitioners in Mental Health who work with Deaf clients and BSL Interpreters.
Interpreting domains
Esther has worked in a large variety of domains over the last 30 years, including BBC News, International conferences, medical, work place, Christian services, outdoor events, and Mental Health and trauma.
Qualifications
Esther is a fully qualified member of the register of BSL Interpreters.
